Samuel McComas b. 1684 was my ggggggggrandfather (married to Susanna Fleming). My lineage goes through William Dike McComas b. 1710 (m. Rachel Mitchell); Thomas McComas (m. Mary Ellen McCallister); George Dike McCommas (who knows who used what spelling) (m. Mary Ann Fleming); Charles Thomas McComas b. 1775 (m. Sarah Ellen Cleaver); Steven Burke McCommas b. 1810 (m. Mary Magee); John Thomas McCommas b. 1846 (m. Mahala Jane Newberry); Charles Henry McCommas b. 1846 (m. Liza Myrtle Slimp); and my dad Lilburn Ernest McCommas b. 1931 (m. Peggy Jane Bell). I would like information regarding this line. What I have is very sketchy. I know there are tons of McComas/McCommas lines. I could not find a single link in the McComas message board to my line.
