A book has recently been written by Gerald Bruner that contains a lot of information on the family of John and Catherine Slinkard who moved from Lincoln Co. N.C. to Indiana in 1817. The book will be available in the Daviess County Indiana area, Fort Wayne and Indiana state libraries.
