I have two hand written notes marked "1928" by my grandmother. The writing is somewhat difficult to read perhaps due to a different way of spelling and writing of the alphabet. They list two areas (for lack of a better description).
The first: Povina, Posta Kiysnovmessa, Cesko Slovenska
R, Europe and the second: Posta Krasno NAD Kysolov
Trencanska Zupa Nove Mesta, Cesko Slovenska R. Europe.

My grandmother Julianna Ondercin was born in 1895 in the village of Kalava, Spiska Stolica Slovakia.

Her first husband my grandfather was born in Povina. Her second husband was born in Tuncanska, Stolica Slovakia.

Both names of the addressed parties are family surnames.

Please can anyone tell me which lists I should be looking on?
I can't relate to the major named areas given such as
Bratislava etc.

Thanks so much! Perhaps with the help of some kind hearted people I may be able to find out more about my grandfather, his family and what happened to him. State side searches are not going well!
