Charles Smatz, b. Allen County, Indiana c. 1880's, son of Paul and Olive Welsheimer Smaltz, settled in Chicago, Ill in the 1920's and had a family. Any information would be helpful. He is my great-grandfather, married first to Aileen Christy and lived in Roanoke, Indiana, had two children: Harold and Mildred. Charles died in 1971.
