I hope this answer is read, after many years ... Bozena (Bessie) Hoskovec was sister of my grandmother. She came with her other siblings to America and married John Anton Smid. The family Hoskovec came from Bohemia(formerly Austria about 1900).
My grandmother Zofie (Sophia) Hoskovec was born May 02/1902 (father Josef Hoskovec - he was professionally blacksmith in Bohemia and had 9 or 10 children). My 2 grand aunts were also members of my family in the Czech Republic - both born Hoskovec. My grandmother died in Czech Republic, was 84 years old. I would be glad to get more information,
