Thank you. Seems like I have run across Henry Homer Smith. I will look in what I have. If not, I will certainly keep a look out. I am planning on going to the Salt Lake City Family History Library, about a 2 hour drive, in the future. Depends on the road conditions as to whether I make it during the winter months. My grandmother did make mention once that we were supposedly related to Jedediah Smith, the trapper. Other relatives from the Beaumont area said that he came up the Bayou into Texas. I have not been able to verify this information. I have my grandfathers WWI draft but his parents were not mentioned. It does give a different year of birth than his death certificate. Could be he wanted to be a year older so he didn't get drafted. Hard to tell. Thanks again for your help.
