SMITH--In Longmont, Colo., Nov 9, 1897, Mrs. Blanche L. Smith, wife of Dr. D. W. Smith, of Champaign, Ill., aged 37 years.
She and her husband came here about six weeks ago, in the hope that a change of climate might arrest the progress of pulmonary disease.But she came too late to receive any benefit. She was a very lovely woman who attracted all who met her. She was in the home of of the family of ?? (can not read) Shaw, where she received very help that could add to her comfort. Funeral services were held at the Shaw residence by Rev. G. W. Pollock, Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 10, and the remains were shipped to Clinton, Ill., where her friends reside, accompanied by her husband.
