Hello, I am trying to find information regarding my ancestors. My great greatgrand father was Dr. Edward F. Snead and my great greatgrand mother was Mary Couch. They were both from Lynchburg, Va. They had a son named William Charles Snead. He was a soldier and took direct orders from General Robert Lee. He met and married my greatgrand mother which was born in New Oleans but was raised in Cuba. Her first cousin was the Duchess of Manchester. What I have heard was that my great grandfather married my great grandmother in Jacksonville Florida. After that they went back to Virigina where they had my grandfather William Lawrence Snead and Consuelo Snead. My understanding is that my great great grandfather was sent to the Phillipines where he died. If anyone can offer any information, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.
