October 26, 1812, Virginia Argus: In Chancery - In Hanover County Court, July 24th, 1812: RICHARD SNEAD, JOHN SNEAD, RICHARD GLAZEBROOK & KITTURA his wife, late KITTURA SNEAD, CHARLES ANDERSON and ELIZABETH his wife, late ELIZABETH SNEAD, WILLIAM HARRIS and KEZIAH his wife, late KEZIAH SNEAD, and NATHANEIL HOLMAN and ALICE his wife, late ALICE SNEAD, which Richard and John Snead, and the said female complaints, are children and distributes of the estate of the late JOHN SNEAD, deceased, plaintiffs.
Against: ROBERT SNEAD, adm’r of John Snead, dec’d, BILLEY SNEAD, PARTRICK SNEAD, JANE HARRIS, late JANE SNEAD, admix of her late husband DAVID HARRS, THOMAS PRIDDY and MARY his wife, late MARY SNEAD, WILLIAM E. HARRIS and ANNE his wife, late ANNE SNEAD; JOHN, JANE and CATHERINE SNEAD, which last three are infant children and heirs of AUGUSTINE SNEAD, dec’d son of the said JOHN SNEAD, dec’d, ELIZABETH and NANCY HARRIS, infant children of MARTHA HARRIS, dec’d, late MARTHA SNEAD, daughter of the said JOHN SNEAD, deceased, defendants.
This day came the Plaintiffs by Richard Morris, Jun., their counsel, and the Defendants Billey Snead and Patrick Snead, not having entered their appearance and given security according to the Acts of Assembly and the rules of this Court, and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that they are not inhabitants of this country, on the motion of the Plaintiffs, it is ordered that the said Defendants, Billey Snead and Patrick Snead, do appear here on the fourth Wednesday in October next, and answer the bill of the Plaintiffs, and that a copy of this order be forthwith inserted in some public newspaper printed in the city of Richmond, for two months (etc.).
