Searching for information about Lucrece Steed Burney ..have found her on 1870 Federal Census in Clay County, Alabama married to Parks Burney..her name has been spelled many ways..Lucretia, Creasey, Creasy, Creasie, have also FINALLY located cemetery records showing her maiden name as Steed.."Old Bethlehem/Springhill African-American Cemetery
Township 20, Range 8, Section 1. Lineville Alabama..also buried there
Lucy Allen Steed 1861-1954
Steed, Arlene Dec 25, 1852 Jan 4, 1935 [Johnson]
Steed, Green 1852-1922

..Hoping to show that either Lucy or Arlene is mother of Lucretia...my mother's oldest sister, Francis Arlene Burney Smith..we think named after her grandmother...last docs located show Creasy Burney living with youngest son, Charley T. Burney in Lineville, Al 1880 Federal Census
Do know that Parks and Lucrece were enslaved by Linsie M. Burney (Linzie..L. M. Burney and lived with him in Coweta County Georgia...Linsey is mentioned in 1849 Will of Ann Thompson as husband of her granddaughter ..land was deeded to him...in Coweta County and he and Ann married in Coweta County December 1843..land records show him in Alabama in 1850..family oral history says Lucrece and Parks left several children in Georgia when brought to Alabama..possibly Nancy
Any information would be greatly appreciated
