In my family, Ira had a brother named Everette. He is my grandfather but I never knew him since he divorced my grandmother when my father, James was you. The story is that Everett committed suicide but I can't find anyone who knows if this is true. (My father never talked about it) Some of the snowden family came from Texas.

Thank you so much for this information. It seems that my brother, T.C., says that my Dad's father name is Ira. I will get back with you on more information concerning James, I do believe there's a James within the Snowden family on my Dad's side, his brother.

Or maybe I'm excited to even get a response from others who're searching for their family tree, it could be also my Mom had a brother by the name of James.

I'm searching for info on my father's side. I see you're looking for Ira Snowden. My father, James, had an uncle Ira. They originally were from Texas so I'm not sure if my Ira is the same as your Ira. I've not been able to find anything on my father's father, who was James Everette Snowden. Ira was his brother.

Also, know that the SNADON surname of TN/KY is connected to

I am looking for Ellen C. Snowden that married Henry Jeff Price in the 1920 US Census in Knoxville, TN. Ellen Snowden was understood yo be a full-blooded Cherokee Indian. Henry Jeff PRICE had a son named Willard Thomas Price and he children named; Ruth Willene Price and Lillowene PRICE. Can someone on this message board give me some assistance?

I am also Price Snowden's grandchild. I have gotten to Arch and Gillian but I cannot find anything else. I found that Grandpaw lived with a cousin when he was 17 but I don't know if they were on his father's side or his mother's side. Darlene is my cousin and unfortunately we lost our aunt in October. I hope Darlene was able to let her know we had the info on Gillian. I am glad she is looking into this as well . I think I will call our cousin Calvin and see if he can open up some doors on our grandfather's side.

John Snowden, 14, AL, AL, AL page 500, newphew listed with John E. Greens and Elizabeth (Snowden) Green, 56, Al, SC, SC, born 1844. Dates and two SC's seal her as the possible daughter of John Snowden and Elizabeth Thames of the late 1700s.

Any further information on Thomas Arthur Snowden born 1831 MS; Nellie Gray Snowden 1868 Houston Co., TX; and her sister Lucy Frances Snowden 1870 Anderson Co., TX would be appreciated.

I am researching Nellie Gray SNOWDEN born Houston County, Texas in 1868 and her sister Lucy Frances SNOWDEN born Anderson County, Texas on Feb 2, 1870. Their SNOWDEN father was born in either MS or AR. Their mother was Josephine ROBINSON / ROBERTSON SNOWDEN born 1841 Houston County, Texas.
The only SNOWDEN in Anderson County at the time was Thomas Arthur Snowden GAR, born 1831 in AL, son of John Snowden born 1786, SC and Elizabeth Ann THAMES.
T.A. Snowden was married at least twice, as I can see. First appears to be Elizabeth Melton.
Migration route is SC, AL, MS, TX, Parker Co., Anderson Co. (1860-1870), and Robertson Co., Texas.
Other related surnames intermarried are (John B.) HUFFMAN, ELLIS, HAGAN, ROSEMOND, GRAY, and ROSAMOND. Related counties not mentioned are Anderson, Houston, Trinity, and Jasper.

If you have any information on these two girl's SNOWDEN father, I would appreciate and will share any info I have.

I am looking for Ellen C Snowden born in 1875, who is believed to be of Native American descent. She married Henry Jeff Price born 1861 in TN whom had 7 children. I found the family in the 1920 Census.
The seven children are: Lenor born 1895 in TN. Willard Thomas Price born in Feb 1897, whom is my mother-in-law's father. Lula born in 1895 in TN. Eary P born in 1900 in TN. George L born 1903 in TN. Ruby R born 1910 in TN. Mary L born in 1911 in TN.
I can't find Ellen C. Snowden's parents or her husband: Henry Jeff Prices' parents. I am having to find the Snowden line to prove the descendents are of Native American ancestry.
If you can assist me in any way, please let me know. I certainly appreciate the assistance.

To whom it may concern:
I am attempting to locate my biological grandfather.
His name is Paul Cameron Snowden. He was born in Wallaceburg,
Ontario, Canada in approximately 1916-17. As a young man he resided in
Michigan. Further, he was in the US Army and was stationed in Mohave County,
Arizona in 1942. He and my grandmother, (Hazel Ivy Till Burdeno),were married in 1942
at the Chapel at the Army base. In May of the following year (May 1943) my father was born. At the
time of my father's birth, Mr. Snowden was 26 years of age. The following year, my uncle
was born. The couple was divorced from one another on December 11, 1947 in Michigan (USA). Upon the divorce
my grandmother was granted custody of the minor children. Further, upon the divorce, my grandmother
fled with the children, leaving Mr. Snowden unaware of their whereabouts. Hazel further went on to
change the last names of the minor children upon the marriage of her next husband. Hazel was
a very difficult woman to deal with, and she has caused many wrongs in her life, and I would love
the opportunity to right the situation.
Over the years, my father and my uncle have attempted to find their father,
of course with no success. Additionally, they would like to believe that their father had also
tried finding them however, with Hazel changing the last name of the children that would have been
an unsuccessful attempt on his behalf. If there is anyone who could offer some assistance in this search,
I would be deeply appreciative. Thank you and God Bless You.

SNOWDEN, for a number of years a prominent California politician of the Democratic school, and at one time a proprietor of the 'State Journal' published in Sacramento, died suddenly at Unionville, Humboldt county, Nevada Territory, on the 16th instant. Another paper says that his death was caused by a stab which he received from a teamster.

We are the Snowdens from Louisiana. My father is Harvey Snowden, from Ruston, Louisana. I've been trying to find lineage of his parents, and we believe Harveys father's name is Ira Snowden, but can't seem to find a connection.
My father Harvey Snowden migrated to Michigan and settled in Detroit, perhaps around the 1950's.

I have a southern Snowden mystery and wonder if anyone has suggestions or can help? My 2 G grandmother was Mary Ann SNOWDEN born about 1815 in SC. I have found several possible fathers/households on SC censuses but can not connect. Her mother was E. M. Unknown Snowden born about 1790 in Scotland found on 1850 Buncombe Co., NC census in household of son in law, John TAYLOR (Mary Ann's 2nd husband), and on the 1840 Buncombe Co., NC census as head of household consistent with being Mary Ann and her daughter, Margaret Matilda HUNTER born 5 October 1835 in Buncombe Co., NC; her father was John Hunter born in NC who may have died before 1840 census.
Some Taylor histories give Mary Ann Snowden's name as Mary Ann CARTER apparently based on a child's name. This leads to the guessing game about E. M. 's maiden name. Could it be CARTER or FINLEY based on her grand-daughter, Margaret Matilda Hunter Taylor Orr's naming of her first son, Thomas Finley Orr. I have wondered about FINLEY which I can not link to the Orrs. The name Finley shows up in several Snowden trees online but they do not connect to my family so far.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

I am also researching the Wilson and Snowden line in Kentucky and Indiana. Everett Snowden married my great aunt Dovie Beatrice Wilson and they eventually moved to Indiana. I have lots of photos of Dovie and one of Everett Snowden in his uniform. I once found a complete link of family photos on the family and my computer crashed and I am now having trouble tracing the line again. I wish I had saved the information to disk. I do have many pictures of Dovie Wilson-Snowden and just one of her husband.

Hi my name is Pamela Smith I heard alot about you when I was dateing James Jarvis III I now live in Ohio but before I move James and I conceived a son which is your nephew his name is Isaiah Brown Isaiah is getting ready to be a dad now and James doesn't know that he's about to be a grand dad.
