I am still looking for the parents of William SNOWDON (bn. abt 1811) and Ann HUNTER (bn abt. 1814). William and Ann married in Bishopwearmouth, Sunderland, Durham, Eng. Feb. 17th, 1834. As their marriage was before Civil Registrations in 1837 I am unable to obtain their marriage certificate.

I checked the computerized marriages and baptisms on fiche but couldn't find anything. Thanks to Claire SNOWDON I have a copy of the 1851 Bishopwearmouth census entry for this family but William Sr. had died by then. He was still alive when his son Michael was born February 1847 as he was listed as the one registering the birth. So he died between 1847 and 1851. I haven't been able to find a burial or a MI (Memorial Inscription)for William.

Three children I know of are Eliza Ann (bn about 1841)married Hudson WALLACE 1858, William (bn. abt 1843) and Michael (bn Feb 5th 1847). Michael was my g-g-g-grandfather and he married Jane DAVISON 24 September 1865 in Sunderland and their daughter Eliza Ann born 15 June 1866 married Thoma MURRAY 10 January 1888 in Chester-le-Street, Durham, England.

Hope someone can shed some light on William and Ann.
