JAMES WILLIAM SOLTES
James William SOLTES of Fairfield, a retired press operator with Handy and Harman Co. died Monday at his home.
Born in South Norwalk, he was a lifelong area resident. He was a member of the Senior Citizens and the Holy Name Society of St. Emery's Church and a former usher.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Takacs Soltes; one son, Robert SOLTES of Milford; one daughter, Beatrice Bleggi of Fairfield; one sister, Genevieve Cehi of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, John and Chris Bleggi, Susan Felner, Karen Adams, Scott and Robert SOLTES, and Sandra Caufield; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow from the Funeral Residence of Frank Polke and Sons, 1546 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 10 a.m. at St. Emery's Church. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer serivce will take place today at 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Emery's Church.
