ELIZABETH CECILIA TAKACS SOLTES
Elizabeth CECILIA TAKACS SOLTES, 85, of Fairfield, a retired cafeteria worker at Handy & Harman and Fairfield University, died Wednesday at Cambridge Manor.
Born in Fairfield, she was a lifelong town resident. She was a member of the Ladies Guild and the Senior Citizens of St. Emery's Church. She was the widow of James William SOLTES.
She is survived by a son, Robert SOLTES of Milford; a daughter, Beatrice Bleggi of Fairfield; two brothers, Joseph and Andrew TAKACS , both of Fairfield; a sister, Mary Poremba of Fairfield; seven grandchildren, John and Chris Bleggi, Susan Felmar, Karen Adams, Scott and Robert SOLTES and Sandra Canfield; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. at the Frank Polke and Sons Funeral Home, 1546 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport and at 9 a.m. at St. Emery's Church. Interment will be in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call today from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
