      <description>No. 1035-04&lt;br&gt;IMMEDIATE RELEASE 	October 16, 2004&lt;br&gt;DoD Identifies Army Casualties&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;     The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  They died on Oct. 13, in Mosul, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their convoy vehicle. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;     Killed were:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;    &lt;br&gt;&amp;lt;snip&amp;gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;     Maj. Charles R. Soltes, Jr., 36, of Irvine, Calif.       <description>NORWALK CITIZEN-NEWS DECEMBER 3, 1999&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;ALEXANDER G. SOLTESZ&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Alexander Gabriel Soltes, 73, died Nov. 22 at his home in Idaho.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was born on Sept. 21, 1926, in Norwalk, the son of Julia and Stephen Soltesz. He graduated from Norwalk High School in 1994. He joined the U.S. Army during World War II and continued serving the country in the National Guard until 1986. He was employed as a mechanical technician for Nash Engineering in Norwalk from 1948 to 1958. He worked for AMF Engineering until 1970, then for Mechanical Technology, Inc. in Lathum, N.Y. until his retirement in 1990. He married Charlotte Ostericher in 1949 and they had two children. They divorced in 1968. He married Jacquelyn Benedict in 1971 and they moved from New York to Idaho in 1995. While living in Hailey, he was an active member of the Bellevue Community Church. He was an important part of the church choir and the Awana program and led a Bible study.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In addition to his second wife, he is survived by his son, Edward "Butch" Soltesz of Bethlehem; his daughter Karen Soltesz of New Jersey; one brother, Stephen Soltesz of Redlands, Calif.; and one grandson, Matthew Soltesz of Bethlehem.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Funeral services took place Tuesday at the Bellevue Community Church. The Wood River Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Please Note: I came across this obit at a memorial site. The only source cited was "Public Record"&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;SOLTESZ Susan Jensco Soltesz, age 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2000, in Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. Mrs. Soltesz was born in Hungary and was a Trumbull resident for more than 50 years. She worked for many years with her husband, Joseph, in the J &amp;amp; S Food Store in Devon. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of the First United Church of Christ. She was the widow of Joseph Soltesz. Survivors include one son, Joseph and his wife, Angel Soltesz, of Stratford; two daughters, Susan and her husband, Al Pfannkuch, of Trumbull, and Dian Vince of Trumbull; one sister, Elizabeth Jensco of Bridgeport; 10 grandchildren, Scott, Albert W. and Sean Pfannkuch, Lisa A. Russell, Joseph J. Soltesz, Kym Festa, Karen E. Gusch, Andrea M. Franklin, Georgia and Caraline Vince; five great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kurtiss Gusch, Sarah, Michael and Robert Russell. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, with the Rev. Anthony Szilagyi pastor of the First United Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Church of Christ.&lt;br&gt;</description>

He was a member of the Senior Citizens and the Holy Name Society of St. Emery's Church and a former usher.&lt;br&gt;He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Takacs Soltes; one son, Robert Soltes of Milford; one daughter, Beatrice Bleggi of Fairfield; one sister, Genevieve Cehi of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, John and Chris Bleggi, Susan Felner, Karen Adams, Scott and Robert Soltes, and Sandra Caufield; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.&lt;br&gt;Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow from the Funeral Residence of Frank Polke and Sons, 1546 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 10 a.m. at St. Emery's Church. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery. Friends may call today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer serivce will take place today at 4 p.m.&lt;br&gt;Memorial contributions may be made to St. Emery's Church.</description>

      <description>The Norwalk Hour - Thursday May 7, 1991&lt;br&gt;GORDON S. SOLTES&lt;br&gt;NORWALK - Gordon S. Soltes, 82, of 156 Richards Ave., died Wednesday at home. He was the husband of Mary Soltis Soltes.&lt;br&gt;Born in Norwalk on Jan. 16, 1909, Mr. Soltes, son of the late James and Theresa Bartek Soltes, was a machinist at Lessing Footwear Co. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxilliary and a past president of the Norwalk Camera Club.&lt;br&gt;In addition to his wife, Mr. Soltes is survived by a daughter, Joan Honcharik of Phoenix; a brother, James Soltes of Bridgeport; a sister, Genevieve Cehi of Norwalk; a grandson.&lt;br&gt;A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Matthew's Church. Interment is private.&lt;br&gt;There are no calling hours.&lt;br&gt;Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., is in charge of arrangements.</description>
