My ancesters were Sorahan,s with the many variationsof the spelling. They were fron Denbaun, Denn Parish, Co Cavan.Ireland They were also found in Co Monaghan,Louth and Tyrone Counties.
By Parish they were in Denn,Bailleborough and Knockbride.
Birth records did not start until 1864,marrriages

in 1845, deaths in 1864. This makes it difficult to trace our ancestors.
Only other record available is the 1821 census of Denn Parish where I found my ancestor , spelled Sorohan. name is a variant spelling of Sullivan. My grandfather changed it to Sullivan. He was married under both names.
