Interesting. Glad you have those records. My Greatgrandfather only had one living child. My Grandmother. Mary. I think the only differences are some of the birthdates mentioned in the family bible. Also lots of people in my tree used nick names which sometimes complicates things. My problem was the LDS records had Walter married to Moselle and having many kids. This is absolutely not true. Moselle died when her daughter was barely a year old. Moselle being a rather unusual name, anyway, Moselle Boon had several sisters and I can believe one of the sister's might have married the eldest brother Walter. Wiley's birthdate is off about 10 years...but OK. Bibles are a great source of information. Thanks for sharing.

Cynthia Ann SORELLE (1845 LA-1891 TX)
Cynthia Ann SORELLE was b. 8-15-1845 in Natchitoches LA. She married Napoleon Bonaparte WIESS (1839 TX-1872 TX) in 1861 in Texas. She died 2-6-1891 in Texas.

I know nothing of her parents -- presume they are from Louisiana, since that's where she was born (note in a wedding announcement is all we have on her place of birth). Also, the spelling of her last name is suspect, since she named a son "Edward SORRELL Wiess".

I you have any information or clues on this family, please write: cloud@peaches.ph.utexas.edu

thanks,

Facts on Sorelle Family...LDS records prove incorrect!

Sorelle branch that I am tracking came from Alabama and followed Daniel Boones family into Texas. We are related to the Boone's however the last name became spelled Boon. In Texas now....it goes like this:

Wiley H.V. Sorelle was Born in 1838 ish.
Married Mary Lou King in Texas 1859

Mary Lou King was born in 1842 yes she was only 17!

They had the following children:

Walter Sorelle 1860 ish
Virginia Sorelle 1862 ish
Ema Sorelle 1864
Wiley Sorelle 1865 (my blood line)
Rose Sorelle
Annie Sorelle
Zula Sorelle
O. H. Sorelle
Edwin Sorelle

Wiley E. Sorelle marred Moselle Boon in Texas 1892 and Moselle died 1893 in Denver Colorado. They were only married about a year and 1/2. Wiley E (Wm) never remaried..
never had anymore children to my knowledge the LDS records have Moselle Virginia Boon having all sorts of kids with another man. I highly dispute this and even sort of resent it!

I have a document. She had a ten month old infant when she died.

Moselle was the daugher of John A Boon and Martha Virgina Boon, who lived their intire life in Texas

If you are from this line than we are related no doubt.
