Domingo Sotello's spouse was Avelina. Don't know anything else about her. There lived around McAllen. Our roots start with Perfects's daughter Maria Sanchez.

My great grandfather Domingo was married to Maria Cruz. My grand uncle Domingo stayed in Penjamo and I have been unable to learn anything else about him.

Hi, Was Domingo Sotelo married to Avelina? I don't have any other information on her. They had one daughter, Perfecta, who married Trinindad Sanchez. This is where our family branches into. My grandfathers name is Macario Sotelo. His mothers name was Maria. Both from TX.I believe Maria married a man named 'Chewi' a nickname I presume. My grandfather knew nothing of his father except that he moved to California and started another family. My grandfather married Naomi Ramirez and has 4 children. Maria died in Tx many years ago and I was too young to know very much about her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Ismael Sotelo, my grandfathers name was Antonio Sotelo Rodriguez, I think his dad's name was Eufenio Sotelo and his mom (I think was) Theresa Rodriguez. My grandfather had several siblings, Agustin Sotelo Rodriguez, Margarito Sotelo Rodriguez, Jose Sotelo Rodriguez and Senaida Sotelo Rodriguez, I am looking for my Sotelo Relatives, We don't know anyone. My Grandfather disappeared in the late 70's and his siblings moved different places so I don't know anyone.

I have been told that Margarito Sotelo moved to California, Jose Sotelo to Guadalajara and Senaida Sotelo to Cd Obregon.

If anyone is related to any on these people please let me know.

My GGrandfather was Domingo Sotelo a land owner and diputado in Penjamo in the early 1900s. He was probably a Porfirista to be in a legislative position. My other GGrandfather Juan Cruz was a judge also in Penjamo.

We pass by La Piedad on our way to Jalisco all the time. I remember there was a man with the last name Sotelo, running for mayor or something in that town. I was maybe 10 or 11 years old, I want to say.

Sorry I forgot to mention. My Mom is from Santa Elena, Jaliso. The state right next to Guanajuato.

There is pretty well recognized Radio DJ, his name is Piolin Sotelo and he is from Ocotlan, Jalisco. He might be related to me.

My family from my paternal Grandmother is from Chihuahua and her maiden name is Sotelo. We have family in Ojinaga still but they originated from Namiquipa Chihuahua. Hope this helps. My Grandmother is 90years old and still alive... Is there any names in particular? I could ask her if she is kin to any of your relatives.

I am a student at Sul Ross University Rio Grande College in Eagle Pass, Texas. I am a graduate student, working on a study involving individuals of the Old West who carried out a multi cultural life style.

At the presen time John Richard Parker (JRP), Cynthia Ann Parkers brother has given ma a run for my money.

At the present time I am in search for a piece of information conserning JRP to complete his portion. I have collected extensive information on JRP and a lot of it seem to be inaccurate. I an trying to locate JRP's ranch.

I have information indicating the ranch in in the Llano Estacado, northwest of Egale Pass, Texas, in Chihuahua, Mexico, and my lates piece indicates across the Rio Grande in the edge of Mexico.

My Grandparents are also from Guanajuato. It would be interesting to know if we a re somehow related. I have some ancestry (genealogy info) if you want it. My grandfather used to live in San luis de la Paz, Guanajuato. I also looked up a picture of Jose Calvo Sotelo, and he looks just like my grandmother!!! If you want I can send you a picture of my dad, he looks so much like Jose Calvo!!!!

Yes, I do. I have Antonio Ortiz (from Altar, Sonora) married to Jesus Borboa (from Hermosillo, Sonora). They got a child named Teresa whom was merried to Angel Sotelo Sept 7, 1890 in Caborca. Children of Teresa and Angel were Francisco, Elizaldo, Adriana,Salome, Jesus Maria and Andres. I have dates of birh for them if this is the family you are looking for.

Hi, Fred My Great Grandmother was a Sotelo her name was Petra Sotelo b. 1864 daughter of Juan Sotelo (I've seen it as Jesus also) her mother Maria Lujan. Petra married Romuald Madrid (mother Tomasa Madrid and father unknown) in June 1882 in Jesus Nazareno,Ojinaga, Chilhuahua, Mexico. They where from the areas of Ojuaga, Ruidoas, Aldama, Presidio and Marfa. Petra and Romuald's children were Pedro b. 1885, Gregorio b 1889, Gabreila M. b.1899, Petra b. 1900 ( my grandmother married Homer J. McCormack), Jesus b. 1903 and Maria b. 1905 that is all the children that I have found so far. Do you have any other info on this family.

My great grandfather on my mother’s side was Domingo Quiroz. I have good history from him forward but not backwards. My grandfather was Francisco Quiroz He was one of many children of Domingo. Do you want nay history of his family forward?

southwest texas is where you'll find most of the living family members. im in the navy and seen all kinds of last names but not one sotelo. towns like marfa,odessa,big spring, midland, pecos and monahands are some of the small towns you will find them. the sotelos are a somewhat small famliy compared to other familes.

My Quiroz family was also from Caborca Mexico. I would be surprised if we are related. They used the name of Quiroz y Mora but the Mora was strictly for sob appeal.

My mother and her family left about 1920 to escape Pancho Villa. They moved to Ajo then Tucson where most lived until they died.

I have extensive family background information if you are interested.

My father David Richards, his father Antonio Richard and his father Dr. Alexander Richards were also from Caborca. Do you anything about them?

SOTELO-Edward Sotelo, born December 6, 1924, passed away peacefully November 1, 2007 of natural causes at his home in Croydon, England. He was born and raised in Pasadena, CA and attended the Pasadena School System. He helped pay for his subsistence by delivering the Pasadena Star News during his teen years. When our country was attacked and drawn into War in December 1941, Edward served his country as a Paratrooper and was a member of the renowned 82nd Airborne Division. He was cited for bravery and outstanding performance in the line of combat duty. After the war he completed his college education and was a graduate of UC Berkeley. He lived a full interesting life traveling and living around the world working as a Geologist, for prestigious oil companies until his retirement. His tales of traveling adventures to Saudi Arabia, Columbia, Nigeria, etc. will be warmly remembered. He married his first wife Emma, while employed in Central America and is survived by his five children; three in Mexico, the other two in New York City and Spain. In later years while touring England, he met and married his present wife Carolyn, affectionately known as "Pip". He is survived by his beloved wife, his brother Ernest Sotelo from Berkeley, California, and numerous cousins who reside throughout California. His friendship, love of California, keen sense of humor and love for family and country will forever be remembered.

I was born in Odessa, from my father's side most of the Sotelos are from Marfa, Texas and are scattered all round.

Sorry haven't heard of an Eliser Sotelo
in my records i do have a Teodoro Aguilar and Guadalupe Sotelo who confirmed their children Jose, Julia, Manuela, Margairta, Andres, Cesario in Ojinaga in August 1885. my data base for Ojinaga ends on that date, prior to that date i can probably provide you info.

I am researching my husband's family. His grandfather, Cipriano Aguilar was born in Oijanaga on 16 September 1887 and died in January of 1939. He married Eliser SOTELO (not sure when or where) and she died 6 June 1986 in Pecos, Texas.

I have not been able to find out any information on either of these people, but I was wondering if Eliser is in your family line. If you can help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

My father is Brigido Sotelo Neri. He is from a family of 16. I can remember only one of his brother names being Natividad.
My family is from Guanajato, my grandmother (in her 80's still lives there. My aunts and uncles live in California, Nevada, and Oregon, and possibly Arizona.

Interested in finding information about my families origins from Spain.

I found a picture of Jose Calvo Sotelo on the net. He was political figure in Spain that was assassinated in the 1930's I think.He looks alot like my dad and I.
