Annual Southwell Reunion 2009

This year the reunion will NOT be held in Claxton, GA. Aubrey and Gwen Strickland are not able to host it this year.
The reunion will instead be held at the home of John and Doris Pittman in Crestview, FL on June 6th. The meal will not be the usual catered meal. It will be grilled hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the trimmings. Please come as early as you can and stay as long as possible. We will start grilling about 4:00 PM Central Daylight Time.
For those who must travel long distances, there are many nice hotels in Crestview.
We would like you to let us know if you can attend so we will have enough food, however if you decide to come at the last minute, just come on regardless of whether or not you notify us. You are encouraged to bring old and recent family info and photographs.
Our reunion has historically been the descendants of Edward THOMAS Southwell (b.10/7/1803 in Barnwell Dist, SC.& d. 10/9/1862 in Tattnall Co, GA), but would like to include all descendants of Sir Edward Southwell and his wife Mary Ann Blathwayte of King's Weston England (cir 1700).
As best we can gather from the information at hand we believe we are descended from Smon Southwell b. 1225 in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England. Proof of descendancy from that era is almost impossible to prove.
