Hi,my name is Barbara Sovde. My father was Benton Ellis Sovde, born on Feb 22,1896, son of Erick Erickson Sovde , who immigrated to the United States in the late 1800's. He came from Bergan Stat Norway as best I know. He had siblings who went up to Wisconsin and possibly Minnesote. He ended up in Windom, Kansas. I grew up there. My father was 60 years old when I was born so I know it seems unusual that I would be still around. I am 55 years old. I would like to contact anyone who may be a family member. I am planning a trip to Norway and Sweden (where my grandmother was from) next year and would love to meet any family members that I can. Thanks.
