I would like to share data on the Sowers family. Please reply to kansas4920@yahoo.com

I think maybe you and I have corresponded ago in 2002. What's new? I have acquired some photos you may not have, plus extracted data of the marriage certificate of Edward Sowers and Nancy Leach in 1797 in Baltimore, MD. Actually, Edward's last name is listed as Lowers, a common error since the cursive upper-case S and L look a lot alike.

Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Bill

Thanks for your post. I don't have an Edward Sowers and Nancy Leach in my database. My line is Valentine Johann Sowers and Ann Maria Eva Darr both b. in Rowan/Davidson Co., NC (1768/1775). Their son, Mathias Sr., and grandson, Mathias Jr., are next in my line. Please check your database to see if these folks are in there. It is always possible that my research just hasn't gotten back to your Edward. Thanks, Diann

Sorry, I don't have either of them. Thanks for your prompt reply and good luck on your research.

I have some photos of headstones from the Union / Sowers Cemetery in Douglas County, KS jut north of Centroplois, KS I thought I had pictures of all the headstones but must have lost some over the years. If anyone is related and would like the pictures I could go out on a nice day and retake the phictures. I am a direct descendant of George Sowers 1750/60 One of the stones is M.S. Sowers d. Nov 1 1885.

I have a number of George Sowers in my db; however, they don't have b. or d. dates back to the 1750s. I'm only back to the 1800s. Please tell me more about the cemetery pictures you have....especially M.S. Sowers (which is probably my Mathia Samuel Sowers). Diann
