this is my mothers great grandparents. they are in the union cemetery near centroplis, ks. they once owned a farm by green acrea's near pomona lake.

My grandmother, Sarah Sowers, moved from IN to KS with her family and settled in the Centropolis area. She married W. E Turner there in 1895. Several years later they moved their young family to TX. I am looing for Alice Emma Sowers born 25 Jan 1879 in alto, Cherokee, Texas. She marriage Alford Sullivan Walker in was born 15 June 1867. They were marriage on 30 Oct 1894 in Madisonville, Madison, Texas. Hope anybody can help.

I have a Sarah Ann Sowers, b.18 Mar 1844 in Muskingum Col., OH. Moved to Ind. and later to Kansas. I never heard who she married, but she was pretty old to have married as late as the one you mentioned. Her father was Henry Sowers and her mother was Martha Jane Harper. I am descended from her brother, John Edward Sowers.

Researching George Sowers a brother of Henry Sowers. Henry b. 3/1/1822 in Brownsville, Fayette Co., PA; d. 8/3/1911 in Atchison, KS. Believe their parents to be Edward Sowers and Nancy Leach. Also believe Martha Jane Harper was b. 4/8/1826 in Atchison, KS.

I wonder if your Mathias SOWERS is related to Valentine SOWERS. Valentine m. Anna Eva DARR, one of their sons was Mathias SOWERS b.1805, d. 1885 in KS. He married Sarah LONG.

Henry was from Fayette Co. Pa and Nancy Jane Harper was from Virginia. They are in my family line......:)
