Josie Morris SOWERS, 76, of COLUMBUS, OH passed away June 6, 2008 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. She was born January 31, 1932, in Greenup, KY, daughter of the late Elijah and Dilcie Fout Morris. In addition to her parents, Josie is preceded in death by her husbands Ervie, Verlie and Earl SOWERS, stepmother Erna, granddaughter Dionna and brother Charles. She is survived by her son, Verlie (Sebrena) Smith; daughter, Maletha Gail (Steven) Scott; brothers, James and Sam; sisters, Gertrude, Martha and Cynthia; grandchildren, Tonia, Josie and Savannah; great grandchildren, Nadia and Mahala. Visitation will be June 9, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME S.W. CHAPEL, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH and also on June 10, 2008 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
