Hi all. I am descended from Claude Spafford, who lived in Sherbrook in the early 1900's. He had three sons, Arthur, Gerald and Russell-- Arthur is my father. Most of the Spafford family in Canada settled along the banks of the St. Lawrence river in Unite Empire Loyalist days, but I have no further information than I "think" I am descended from a UEL family that moved here about 1774, although I have no good proof to offer.

Can anyone help me to go back further than about 1890 ? Does anyone have a reference book that they can refer me to ?
