My Mother is Betty, Her mother was Blanche,her father was John Lewis Speagle, his father was Asa King Speagle, and his father was Samual Speagle. I beleive that I have a fairly extensive trace of their ancestors, marriages birth and death places and dates, including their wives and children as far back as the late 1500's, if anyone is interested please e-mail me. I am anxious to gather all family data from Asa King to the present family members.

Who was Asa K. Speagle's mother? I found this crumbled marker in the old Boggstown cemetery that nobody else has recorded: Mary Catherine Spegle, Sept 8, 1847, "age about 75 years". This is in Sugar Creek Twp., Shelby Co., IN.

Asa King Speagle's Mother was Susan King of Lincoln, North Carolina. She and his Father Samuel speagle were married April 3 1787, in Lincoln County, North Carolina. I havent been able to find a Mary Catherine so far, but I still have alot of territory to cover. If you identify Her please let me know. Will do the same.
