I believe Fatima may be the Tema Speakman Warren who married Samuel Warren. Her grave marker shows only Tema Warren 1876-1946. I got her maiden name from homepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~warrens1/html/index.html which has a good family tree on the Warren family.

What I have: Tema Speakman 1876-1946 married Samuel Warren dob 1872/died 1937. Married about 1893 (perhaps Nov 9, 1893,Cullman, AL)
What I think: While Tema is on tombstone, I believe this to be Fatema M. Speakman shown on Cullman 1880 census as daughter of Rufus H. and Lucy C. Speakman.
What I'm trying to find out -- who are parents of Rufus and Lucy

update- apparently Frederick Speakman left the UK for a new life in the USA after the 1920's, I haven't any thing to confirm this though. Does anybody have a Frederick Speakman b. 1901 in Glamorgan in their family tree?

I wonder if anyone of you can help me I am getting awfully bemused. I have a relative Frederick Speakman who appears to be born in exactly the same place on the same day and are even on the same record (although when I view it I can see neither)as Frederick Spackman. I have traced Frederick Spackman back to the 1861 census thinking it was my Frederick who moved to Derby to marry my great grandmother Alice in 1891. My Frederick in on the 1901 census as being married to Alice in Derby and "the other" Frederick Spackman is in Middlesborough married to Edith, sorry to ramble but I am going round in circles - Thanks

I am looking for any information regarding William Speakman (my G. G. G. Grandad). I do not have much information regarding him other than he was a joiner and had a son called Stephen Stringer. Stephen Stringer married Mary Smith on 17th November 1873. William Speakman is listed as the farther of the groom on the marrage certificate. Stephen and Mary were married in Haworth, West Yorkshire, England.

My dads name is gilbert speakman and is fathers name was robert speakman. my dad never told me much about him and he never really knew him eather he died when he was like five or six. I dont know any thing about that side of my family. my dad was any only child but he had two step brothers and one sister. i think one of his brothers names was frank i dont know the others names. if you know more then me that would be cool to know .

I think I may have already replied to this. My father was Johnny Speakman from Alabama. He died in Hot Springs, Ark.
His step-mothers name was Elzie. His real mother's name is what I am serching for. I think her first name was Elgey.

It was because of this email that I wanted to make contact with David Dent.

from new in 1933 from Gary Cadwell who you have been in contact with on

Many thanks. I have made contact with Australian Paul Speakman and found the connection between my Eccles Speakmans and the Runcorn branch.

Can't quite work out where David Dent fits in to this information though.

Re. the Runcorn Speakies I once made contact with a Paul Speakman in Brisbane, whose family had come from Runcorn. He wrote (back in 2002):
"My father was Harold Sydney David Speakman b 1896 in Charters Towers Queensland Australia.
His father was Henry Collinge Speakman b 1864 Runcorn Chs
Henry's brother was David Alfred Speakman b 1868 Runcorn.
( I have been trying for some time to find a descendent of Davids.) No luck so far.
Their father was David Speakman b 1833 and their mother was Anne Elizabeth Walker b 1833 Runcorn
David had the following siblings-
Sarah b 1835 married Joseph Widders
Philip b 1837
Abraham b 1840
Joseph James b 1843

the speakman that you are talking about is my grandfather.on my mothers side.i am also looking for info on edward.to show i know who he is.he was in car/train accident on briggs road on west side of columbus.he was married to margaret tudor speakman.he also had a son,edward jr,who died in 1990.any info you can send me would be very help full.i don't have much info myself but i can give you what i do have.just let me know.

I am searching for the ancestors of Samuel Mee born 1830 Lowton Lancashire.

His mother Alice Mee was a singlewoman b.c1810. Lancashire.

He is with his family in Pocket Nook Parr St Helens in 1841, sister Ann b1832, Jane b1836 & Maria 1839-1841. Samuel's father is William Wright, and Ann's father is James Lowe of Ashton.

Samuel marries Alice Cunliffe b1827 of Newton-in-Makerfield in 1852. Their children are Elizabeth, John, and Alice Mee, who marries John Darlington b1855 of Sutton.
Jane Mee m Thomas Barrot, (or Barrett) in 1858, Oldham, Manchester,
Ann Mee m Langham Booth also of Oldham.
Has anyone connections with this family and especially Alice Mee, and William Wright?

Is this a connection? John Mee son of Samuel marries a Hannah and calls his son SPEAKMAN MEE? They are living at St Andrews Terrace Sutton in 1901.

They certainly could be one in the same, the information I got was from familysearch at (http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/search/IGI/individual_record...) but the date of the marriage was 02/07/1807
That is pretty much the only information I have, other than their chold John who came from Hollinfare in Lancashire
