Hi...I can't help with your exact query, but do know that Neal Spearman sold my parents our house in 1972...same one that he was living in the 1930 census...although the street number changes in earlier censuses, it appears that the house was of Neal's wife's family, as he is shown there in the 1925 Iowa census with them and the same Boyle family in 1900 with Richard Burke (Neal Spearman's father-in-law) is next door to Neal Spearman in 1930. I am guessing that the house was only owned by Richard Burke and then passed down to his daughter and son-in-law (Neal) 1925-1930...and they held the house until my parent's bought it (of which they still live today). When my family remodeled many years ago and tore out some walls, we found some odd things, including a 1890 Burlington Hawk-Eye Newspaper, which literally crumbled. The house was built in 1890. From the neighbors in the 1900 census, it appears that the majority were from Ireland.
