Dies February 16
Cumberland, Feb 19 – Marcus A. Speas, 83, of Cumberland, died Saturday, February 16, 2008 at his home. He was a retired Mechanic. He was the son of the late Robert M. and Sarah Towe Speas and was preceded in death by a son, Raven Speas.
Mr. Speas is survived by three daughters, Rachel and Pat Speas of Cumberland, and Angela S. Flores of Richmond; a son, Mark Dwayne Speas and wife Sharon of Victoria; sisters Agnes S. Ogle of Cumberland and Forrest S. Waycaster of Dillwyn; brothers, Bob Speas of Powhatan and David Speas of Cumberland; a devoted niece and husband; Esther and Gene Bradbury of Cumberland; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Tuesday (today) from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home, Dillwyn, is in charge of arrangements.
