Surnames: Speck, Laidig
I am trying to trace the ancestry of my father
Elmer Josiah Speck. His father's name was Josiah
W. Speck, married to Harriet Laidig and I have
found his father, Rev. Benjamin Speck,
a circuit rider in the United Brethern Church.
There were three brothers who came from southen
Germany, near Switzerland. One settled in
Fulton county, PA., anither followed the
Mason Dixon line and probably settled in Ohio.
Any help would be appreciated.
