Sandi, I am wondering if your William may have had a brother, I have a John Speedie born abt 1838. In his obituary it mentions that he came from Perthshire,Scotland. I do not know if he was born there or not. He settled in Monck Twp, near Bracebridge ,Parry Sound District. he had a farm but also was a Carter. He transported supplies between the Orillia area and Bracebridge. My husband's aunt has mentioned that he came to Canada with a brother. First to the London area and then went to the Bracebridge area. Do you know who William's parents were? Do you know of any siblings?

In the 1930 cencus, the record states that she came to the US in 1914. It happened to be the same year as my father was born. Under the Naturalization headind, Does anyone know what the" AL" represents?
