John Speirs b 2 March 1759 in Kilruskin, Ayrshire. Married Janet Dickie (b 15 July 1781 at Lyssands, Dalry, Ayrshire) on 15 July 1802 ie her 21st Birthday!! He dies bet 1841-1849 she died 4 nov 1849. Their children were
John b 1802, Allan b 1804, Mary b 1806, Margaret b 1806 (twins,Margatet my 4xgreat grandmother)Janet b1807, James b 1809Hugh b 1811, Mary b 1816, A daughter b 1818, Elizabeth b 1820, Robert b 1822 and finally James b 1825.
NB it's interesting to note that their 1st child was born 4 monthe the marriage took place but in the orig OPR's on Scotlands Peoplr there is no mention of the fact that his parents were not married!
