I'm searching for the roots of my 2g grandfather, Thomas Spel(l)man. According to the British censuses (Darlaston,Staffordshire) of 1851 and 1861 it simply states that he was born in "Ireland'
He married Elizabeth Corns on May 31, 1847 in Tipton, Staffs at which time the Entry of Marrige states that his father, James, was deceased.
Thomas would have been born about 1820, he died Feb. 18, 1867 at age 47 years. Thomas' occupation was listed as a Blacksmith.

Any help in finding his place of birth, etc. will be greatly appreciated.
