Classification: Query
As I awoke this morning I found that the Spence DNA Project had a new member, the 41st, and that the results for member 38 had been posted to the web site. Results for members 39 and 40 should be posted by the middle of November.
First let me thank our newest member for participating in the Project and wish you success in finding a match. The results for member 38 show a 24/25 match with the result that lists David Spens (8/28/1571 of Wormiston, Fife, Scotland) as the most distant related ancestor. Hopefully, these two members will be able to communicate with each other.
As I have repeatedly said, the size of the database matters, and as it grows more matches will become evident. If you are actively researching the Spence line please give the Project your consideration, and if you know of male Spences feel free to discuss the Project with them.
It would be nice to be able to increase membership to 50 by years end. Every new member has the potential of overcoming brick walls in their own line as well as helping all other Spence researchers.
