I have a Moses Sperry in my husband's line, who was married to Sarah McCleod. They had 13 children - Anna, James, Arabella, Joy, Charles,Minerva, Melinda, Sara Ann,George, (born July 9, 1790 in Alford, Brkshr, Ma. who I believe could possibly be the great, great, great, great grandfather of my husband); Aaron, Moses, Betsey, and Calvin. This George Sperry, was married to Melinda Wade and had a son Moses (born June 9, 1813 who was married to Sally Lurena Chaffee, They had 8 children one of whom was named George Gilliard (or Gilbert) Sperry, born February 9, 1841 in LaHarpe, Hancock County, Illinois. and married Sarah Jane Dean. A son born to them was Edward E. Sperry who married Mary Jane Rafferty. A son, John James Sperry married Margery Burkinshaw and they had a son, George Frank Sperry who is my husband.
