John "Palmer"Sperry/PA&Michigan
I am attempting to locate any descendents of John "Palmer" and Mary Livingston (Shaw) Sperry. They were married in Frostburg, Allegany County, MD. They had four daughter's. The family moved to Zanesville, Ohio abt. 1905 and eventually moved to Fairfield/Madison Twp., Lenawee county, Michigan. I found this information with the name Mary Jane George from Ottawa Lake, Michigan noted at the top. I cannot locate her. The daughters names were also noted on this piece of paper, Leila Blanche (Sperry) Thompson 1890-1956, Eva Janet (Sperry) Powelkes 1893-1943, Gladys Sarah (Sperry) Sprung 1895- and Mary Margaret (Sperry), her married last name I cannot makeout, I can't even guess at it! 1898-1975. This lady would be the Mary Jane George's family line, possibly her grandmother or mother. John "Palmer" Sperry B, 5 Feb.1862 - D 9 June 1937 and Mary L. (Shaw) Sperry B. 7 Apr. 1863 D. 8 June 1930......"Palmer" died exactly 7yrs and 1 day after Mary. Mary L. ( Shaw) Sperry's parents were George and Jennie (Dick) Shaw. John "Palmer" Sperry's parents were Benjamin and Sarah (Palmer) Sperry. On John "Palmer" Sperry's death cert. his father's name is noted as John, it is wrong. It is definetly Benjamin. Hope to her from my distant cousins. I would like to share our genealogy with them, what Mary Jane George was trying to collect years ago.
Thanks......Kevin
