Barclay Spidell was born in 1828 in Pennsylvania. He lived in West Providence and Bedford, both in Bedford Co, PA. From census records and I have reason to believe his father was Christian Speidel, born in Dauphin Co, PA in 1795; however, records also indicate Barclay's father was Michael Speidel, also born in Dauphin Co in 1802. I do know that his mother's name was Sarah (per 1850 census). If anyone has any sources indicating who his parents might have been, or if any of these names ring a bell, please let me know. Thanks!
