Stefen Heinrich Spiecker (Spieker, Speaker) emigrated from Tecklenberg, Westfalia to Pittsburgh in 1848. Shortly thereafter, he married Catharina Jungling, from Bramshe, Hannover, who arrived in Piittsburgh about the same time. Stefen was a "puddler" in the steel mills. Their daughter Eliza, b. 1860 was my grandmother.
