Edna Katherine Kelley, the daughter of Herman F. and Nancy (Rieken) Spiegel was born September 13, 1912 in Albion, Nebraska. She attended Boone County rural district #4 school and graduated in 1932 from Albion High School.

On October 19, 1937 Edna was united in marriage to Patrick M. Kelley at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Albion. They lived their married life in Loretto and Albion. Edna was a homemaker and also was a kitchen helper at Albion schools. She lived at her home until October 4, 2005 when she moved to Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion. It was there that she passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 93 years of age.

She was a member of the St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Altar Society, and the Boone County Hospital Auxiliary.

Edna is survived by her daughter Mary Ann Mescher of Albion, NE; son Edward and wife Karen of Albion, NE; 6 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Patrick in June of 1977, granddaughter Jennifer Lynn Kelley, and son-in-law Raymond Mescher.

VISITATION: Sunday 3-5 p.m. at Levander Funeral Home in Albion; After 6:30 p.m. at the church with a 7:30 p.m. Wake Service. Visitation will resume Monday morning from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorials are suggested to the Wolf Memorial Good Samaritan Center in Albion.
