My husband is related to Edwin J Spiers

This may sound like a strange question but do you know of any of the Spiers family that have RP (retinitis pigmentosa or rod & cone dystrophy).

Edwin had a son also called Edwin who was noted as Blind on the census material.

But I have been unable to find any others and just wondered if you have come across this.
