I have made it back (with LOTS of help in England) to Martin's great grandfather, Isaac, born about 1760 in England. He married Mary Whitford, and had at least one son, William, b. in 1776. William married Elizabeth Hale, and had as many as 11 children, of whom only two names I know. Jeremiah, (Martin's father), and William. Jeremiah was born about 1802 in Gloucester, and William was born around 1799.

Jeremiah married Ann Hardin June 11, 1825 in Gloucester. Ann was born about 1801 in Childswickham. They had 7 children: Christopher, William, Thomas, Elizabeth, James, Benjamin, and Martin.

Christopher, James, and Martin came to the U.S., all settling first in Iowa, Martin later moving on to Nebraska.
