I have two original cabinet card photographs of “Harry Spitler – Kendall Creek, McKean Co., Penna – (taken) April 20, 1880 – birth May 21, 1841” – and – “Mr. and Mrs. H. Spitler, Titusville, Penn.” which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. In the first photo, “Harry” looks to be about upper 40s. In the second, taken about 1884-1885 in Warren (Warren Co.) PA, he looks about 40 and she about looks to be in her 20s. I believe the second photo is of the wedding of “Harry” and Emma Spitler.
I found “Harry Spitler” in the 1880 census for Kendall (McKean Co.) PA, a boarder, age 37, born in PA, occupation “a tinner”, living in home of Richard Ward. By 1910, in the 1910 census of Titusville (Crawford Co.) PA, Henry Spitler was age 69, married for 26 years (=1884) to wife Emma, and he was proprietor of a tin store. Wife Emma A. was age 48, sons Harry (24) and Ralph (22). 1930 census Titusville shows Henry, age 87, married at age 38, and Emma A., age 68, married at age 21.
