Help please! I'm trying to track John Spoon who was born in Tennessee about 1850. His wife's name was Mattie, and they had children including Mary, William, Hale, Pearl, and Erastus (Rassie). Although they may be found on the 1910 census, there is no listing on the 1900 that I can find. Like a lot of Spoons, they congregated around the Morristown, Hamblen County area of TN. I have no idea if John is actually a first or middle name. Does anyone have any clues for me? (I'm a descendant of Hale Spoon who was born in 1891.) Thanks for any and all assistance.
