To all that may be able to help.. I am trying to find my roots, and i need some help. my Great great Grandfathers name was John R Sportsman born in Sangamon County, Illinois, on May 12, 1833. He was married to a Mary Elizabeth Young. I know he is buried in Brookfield Mo. But that is as far back as I have been able to find. No one else in my family knows anything either. Also if it is any help my Great Grandfathers name was Horace Benjamin Sportsman, born in St. Catherine Mo on Sep 28, 1873. He was married to Jessie Mae Broyles.
