Surnames: spotswood, bence, sartain
I'm still looking for father of Carrie Bence Spotswood. Carrie was born 1894 in Mountain Fork, Ark. Mother was Martha Lucinda (Mattie) Bence. Mr. Spotswood and Mattie must have married around then (1894) and he was either dead (family story is he died of a horseback riding accident) or gone by 1901 when Mattie remarried James Wilcoxson in Polk Co., Arkansas. Can't find any Spotswoods in this area.
