Meekley Spray and Margaret Page, both of the County of Sullivan Co Mo married 22 Sept 1845 Sullivan Co by Patrick McIntire JP.
I believe Margaret was the daughter of George Page and Mary mnu of Chariton and Sullivan Co Mo.
Arthur W Spray born ca 1874 Mo son of Geo W b 1846 Mo.
Am I on the right track?

I found Margaret E [Page] Earwood age 53 b Mo living with son George W Spray age 34 and possible his 2nd wife Sarah Fisher,and children, living in 1880 census of North of the North Platte River Wyoming.
I can send you the email of the person who does much Page research in Missouri.
I research Spray of Wayne Co Ind to Vanburen Co Iowa by 1840.

Hello,

It appears highly likely that Meekly and his brother James Hollingsworth Spray went to Missouri together. In 1850 they can both be found in Schuyler County, Missouri. In 1860, Margaret Spray is (apparently) a widow residing in Sullivan County, Missouri with children George W. 14, James 12, Abram 7, and Mary F. 3. So, Meekly likely died no earlier than 1856.

The key is the 1870 Sullivan County, Missouri census. Margaret apparently married a Mr. Yerewood in the interim and is once again a widow. She is living next door to James H. Spray, wife Ann and their children. Abraham and Mary F. Spray are residing in her household, and son James S. is living on the otherside.

I am looking for any information on Meekly Spray. He was my gggrandfather. I wonder if he was one of the males ? I am kin thru maternal side,Mary M. Spray .Her father was Arthur Wayne Spray,His father was George W Spray, his father was Meekly Spray. I would love to know who Meeklys father was .Any thing you know would mean alot. Hi,
My name is Jonica Kelly. I am the daughter of John Thomas Spray whose parents were William (billy) and Grace Spray. They also have 2 other sons George and Michael. George is a propane salesman and installer and Michael is a teacher at a High School. Does anyone have any information about the living members or if I can go any farther into the past with this? I have not been able to get addresses or any information from the family.

Pretty sure Samuel that married Letitia Braden is the one as one of the children was Quilla which name seems to have carried forward which was quite common.

James Spray christened 14 February 1791 married Ann Carey 18 June 1818 at Ninfield, Sussex, England. James was a farmer and they had 12 children. George married Sophia in the first quarter of 1842 and emigrated to the US sometime between 1846 and 1855. Other children of James and Ann that emigrated are:

John Henry born 1825
Charles born 1826
Mary born 1833
Sophia born1835

I'm replying to a post from 7 years ago, but just saw this while doing research for a neighbor.

Jerry K. Spray and Ida Mellisa Johnson were married 30 Sept 1886 in Randolph, Indiana. They moved to California sometime between 1890 and 1896. In 1900 in Union Township, Riverside County. In 1910 In Los Angeles, In 1920 in Etiwanda, San Bernardino County. Ida Mellisa Spray died 1 October 1946 in San Bernardino, CA.

My neighbor is the granddaughter of their daughter, Opal G. Spray.

Hello,

This should be James H. Spray with brothers Samuel, Elias B., and Quillin (sp?). There were other children but, it's been a little hard to sort out.

Their father is Elias H. Spray, mother Polly Harris who married in 1822 in Clinton Co., OH.

I would be interested in learning more about Samuel & his children.

Last message was actually attached to the wrong response.

James H. and Elias B. were both orphaned in Texas when their parents died of winter fever. I have been told that their mother (Polly Harris) may have had Indian heritage. It's been a little difficult to identify her parents.

Both James H. and Elias B. end up in Montana although they take considerably different routes to get there.

I would definitely be interested in hearing more.
