I am interested in finding the death date and burial location for Peter Springer (B. May 1845 Albany, D. unk), who was the son of Baltzer Springer (B. abt 1803, D. Mar 27, 1885) and Cecelia Hetrick (B. June 1807, D. Apr 15, 1883), and married Mary Dauphin (B. 1852, D. Mar 18, 1917) on July 28, 1869 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Albany. Peter served as a Private in the 7th Heavy Artillery Regiment of NY and was a prisoner in Andersonville Prison until April of 1865. Peter had the following children: Gertrude M. Springer Madden (B. abt 1869, D. abt Feb 1940), John Baltus Springer (B. 1872, D. Dec 16, 1935) and Laura M. Springer Cooley (B. April 30, 1874, D. April 24, 1935). He died before 1880 when his wife and children were living in Albany with her father John C. Dauphin and several of her siblings.
