Ann? we know they had 1 son ALBERT b.1835 probably more kids.Albert was a widower when he married Elizabeth Cotts in Ohio Co.Wheeling W.V.on Feb.5 1867.Elizabeth was 28 and Albert was 32.On their marriage license her dad wrote"I hereby consent that my daughter Elizabeth may intermarry with Albert Sproles.John Cotts Feb.5,1867"does anyone know what this might mean?was it common for a father to give consent for a daughter this old?Notice the name change from Sprowls to SPROLES.Their children were:Lucy b.1867 Noahb.1873Edward b.1875 d.april 1903 Nellie Bessie b.oct.22,1879 d.aug.1 1953 my gandmother.They were born in Wheeling W.V.Albert was a policeman was killed in a riot when Elizabeth was pregnant with my gandmother.My grandmother looked indian we would like to know what tribe we could be .has anyone heard of any of this in their family.Thank You.
