I have found published in the Virginia Magazine of History that John Spurlock Sr and his sons, John Jr, Jesse & William Spurlock all took the Oath of Allegiance in Henry Co. Virginia on Jan 1, 1779. I'm looking for the father of this John Spurlock Sr. Does anyone know his name and any additional information?

Also, can anyone confirm that this Jesse Spurlock married Sarah Harbour? I have seen this debunked in a few places, but not sure if it's the same Jesse.
