I have just finished researching the 1800 Census. No Squyres but there are 3 SQUIRES listed, Elverton, Russell and William. All listed as living in Efgefeld Co where supposedly the earliest squyres came from. LEgend in family has it that Brothers got mad at each other andf one changed the spoelling. Fred/Ruby Squyres mentioned possible KIN as being named Overton. Possibly the same???. Who knows. I have access to a good geneological library. also 1790 Census has a Colmon SQUIRES living in Edgefield Co SC also.
