Surnames: St.-AMANT, St.-AMAND, ACKERMANN, HOFFMANN
I am hoping to find out more about my wife's great-great-grandfather, one Henry Alexander St.-AMAND, also known as Pierre Alexandre St.-AMANT. Enclosed is a marriage record for him found in the New York City archives. He married Sarah Elizabeth ACKERMANN, daughter of James and wife Elizabeth HOFFMANN, on December 1, 1880.

He is shown here as being born in Québec, but there is also a census record suggesting he was born in Ontario. He would have been born in 1850 or 1851 and is believed to have died about 1939.

I am trying to figure out the forenames of his parents and find them in the Drouin records, but I have been unable to do so. Is his father's name perhaps Lucien? And his mother's name Armine or Arminie?

I would be most appreciative if anyone, especially a native French speaker, could give me an opinion of the proper spelling of the parents' names, or any other clues that will help me track this family.
